WHAT IS GASTRITIS?
Gastritis is an inflammation of the mucus lining of the stomach.
WHAT CAUSES GASTRITIS?
Gastritis can be caused by many irritating substances including medications, smoking, caffeine and alcohol.
WHAT TREATMENT IS NECESSARY FOR GASTRITIS?
Avoidance of precipitating factors is the most important treatment. Medication may be used. Your physician will discuss with you the best treatment which may or may not include medications and dietary changes.
